For those who love making coffee in the wild, this handcrafted leather pouch keeps your filter papers clean, dry, and ready for every pour-over. We designed this pouch for campers, travellers, and anyone who takes their morning brew seriously.

Each one is made to order using 2.4mm thick, full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. Hand-dyed, hand-finished, and weather-treated using the same techniques as all Out There Equipped leather gear. The result is a durable piece that will develop a rich patina and tell your story over time.

The pouch comfortably holds 14 size 02 cone-shaped filters (for 1–4 cup pour-over drippers). When full, it measures under 10mm thick which is slim enough to slip into any camp kitchen kit, coffee box, or pocket of your pack.

Fastened with solid brass Sam Browne studs and a brass Chicago screw, it’s designed to last a lifetime and look better with every trip. Finished with Out There Equipped debossed logo, marking the start of a new chapter of releases in our leather collection.

The origin story

This design was born on a camping trip back on 11 June 2023.

I like nothing better than a good coffee at camp and find the coffee dripper method to be the most simple and satisfying way to make a good brew. However my filter papers kept getting crushed and messy in my kit so I made a leather pouch to keep them clean, neat and dry. I've slotted the pouch into molle pouches, sides of Front Runner storage boxes, backpacks and camp kitchen kits.

I love how it ages with time developing its own patina and little signs of all my adventures.

It was a one-off prototype I filmed during that trip and I still use it to this day on every outing.

That little piece of gear turned out to be one of my most-used items, and after years of testing in real-world conditions, it’s finally made its way into the Out There Equipped collection.

The design available today has been improved upon. When comparing to the original prototype, more work goes into each piece to make it feel really special in hand.
