• We don't make throwaway gear.

Everything here is designed to last, and aftercare is how we help keep it going. Year after year, trip after trip.

  • Good kit deserves a long life.

From leather to aluminium, every product has simple care steps that keep it performing, aging well and staying out there longer.

  • Miles behind it. Years ahead.

Our Restore & Refresh service cleans, conditions and renews your leather without erasing its character. Giving it more years out there.

Refresh and restore

When your gear needs a deeper clean, freshen, stitch repair or replace, you can send it back to the workshop for hands-on restoration.

Your leather won’t lose its character. Like the straches on your rig, every mark, crease and mile is part of its story. The restore service simply keeps gear that's enjoying a tough life out there, going for many more years to come.

  • We make gear the slow way.

By hand. In small batches. Using materials meant to age, not fail. Aftercare is part of that promise. Mass-produced brands don't offer it because they can't.

  • Why it matters.

If a product is truly built to last, the maker should help it last. That's the whole point of Out There Equipped's Aftercare.

Care & Maintenance

Leather care guide

We only use full-grain natural leather that will look better with age and wear. To properly care for natural vegetable-tanned leather products, focus on regular cleaning and conditioning.

Step 1 - Clean

Use water on a slightly damp cloth to clean any surface dirt.

Step 2 - Condition

When dry, to keep the leather looking its best, we recommend using a natural, clear dubbin, such as Kaps Natural Dubbin, with a transparent/neutral colour that is suitable for any colour leather you order from us.

It will help nourish the hide and keep it weather-ready, nourished and protects the leather from cracking.

  • Apply dubbin with a cloth in a small circular motion.
  • Buff to shine with a clean cloth.

IMPORTANT: Avoid harsh chemicals, leather cleaning products with dyes and excessive water exposure.
